Description: Depending on the speed and gait of a coyote, it will leave three different track patterns. When traveling fast it leaves sets of four tracks that look a lot like rabbit tracks. It plants its front feet and leans forward and then plants its rear feet in front of its front feet. Slow and medium speeds leave a staggered track– left, right, left, right, which is illustrated here. They also have another medium speed gait in which they leave a set of tracks strung out in a straight dotted line.
