Coyote Tracks Next to the Lamar
$100.00 – $1,500.00
A coyote was walking on the snow covered ice down the Lamar River, a major travel corridor for them in the winter. He approached a headwall formed by drifts and soft powdery snow. Hemmed in from further downstream travel, he first went straight ahead to a narrow dead end. He turned back and dug his way up the soft powdery drift. Floundering and wallowing up the side of the soft powder must have seemed futile and even though his nose stretched to the top of the slope, he turned and slid back down to the snow on the icy surface of the river. He tried the last of his downstream options and picked a spot on the edge of an open channel, jumped across and went on.
