Cutthroat Trout Underwater

$100.00 – $1,500.00

Clear
Item # 50019 Category: Fish & Reptiles
  • Description

Cutthroat trout spawn in the spring in shallow, clear, cold mountain streams. This stream was about 18 inches deep. By setting the camera on the bottom of the creek with the lens pointed downstream and using a 12 foot cable release, I was able to photograph the trout while crouching on the bank. This was a great opportunity to see how fish maneuver gracefully in an environment so foreign to a non-swimmer like me. The name for a group of trout, a “hover” of trout, makes perfect sense from this angle.
