Electric Peak Morning Fog Gold Grass

Electric Peak Morning Fog Gold Grass

$100.00 – $1,500.00

Clear
Item # 27828 Category: Mountains
  • Description

The sun warming up the yellow and gold grasses in the early morning create a couple of phenomena. The first thing we notice when the sun strikes the frosted vegetation is the uncountable sparkles of crystals across miles of terrain. These crystals either melt and collect as drops of water which continue to sparkle, or they sublimate and vanish from sight. Eventually the heat builds in the grass and evaporates the water drops.  The moisture disappears and may reappear in the bands of fog that drift at different heights above the grass, in the trees and below the top of Electric Peak. When it is still, we get glimpses of moisture moving in slow metamorphosis from frost on the grass up into the sky appearing and disappearing in thin veils through different temperature gradients.
