Full Moon Lightning Cloud
$100.00 – $1,500.00
The south end of the Southeast Arm of Yellowstone Lake, lit here by the full moon, is the mouth of the upper Yellowstone River where it empties into the lake. The area upstream from here is called the "Thorofare", one of the wildest and most remote areas in the contiguous United States. There was a large thunderhead above the Thorofare which was lit internally by lightning. The thunderhead flickered and glowed about every 15-20 seconds but I never saw a clear bolt of lightning. The full moon had been up about two and a half hours and the sunset light had been long gone almost two hours earlier.
