$100.00 – $1,500.00
The humpback whale, Megaptera novaeangliae, is a baleen whale that has a hump as opposed to a dorsal fin and long white flippers. It is noted for its lengthy vocalizations or “songs.” Found in oceans and seas worldwide, humpback whales typically migrate up to 15,500 miles each year. Humpbacks feed only in summer, in polar waters, and migrate to tropical or sub-tropical waters to breed and give birth in the winter. The humpbacks' diet consists mostly of krill and small fish. Humpbacks employ a varied repertoire of feeding methods, including the bubble net feeding technique.
