Lodgepole Pine Forest Abstract
$100.00 – $1,500.00
The most common tree in Yellowstone is the lodgepole pine. It is a fire-dependent species, which means a stand usually has to burn to regenerate. This stand of lodgepole, because of the uniform size of the trees and the dense growth, probably grew as a result of a fire. The texture from the snowfall and from the triangular shapes of the trees makes this shot interesting, while most forest images are too random and cluttered.
