Item # 50301 Category: Rodents, Rabbits, Hares
  • Description

Porcupines are rodents that feed in the winter on the inner bark of various trees. They are mainly nocturnal and are slow and deliberate climbers. This individual was about 40 feet up a lodgepole pine tree, and from the nearby stripped branches it was clear he had been feeding for several days in the same tree.
