Description
Near Mammoth, the average snow cover is less than it is in the rest of the Park. A gang of bull elk spend the winter on Mount Everts and near the lower end of Lava Creek. They move from the cover of the evergreen forests to the open wind swept grasslands depending on the weather and how hungry they are.
