Description
In the thermal areas of Yellowstone on quiet cold nights the steam from the hot water can hang in the air, sometimes filling up the low spots with dense fog. Anything staying in this cold fog will collect a coating of delicate frost, including animals. This cow elk fed and walked along unaware that she looked like she was coated in powdered sugar.
