Description
Hunting for small rodents, under the February snow cover, a red fox often leaps up into the air. They do this to gain momentum and force to crash down through the snow and pin and catch their prey. Typically their bodies will disappear into the snow, and many times they back out of their divots with only ice in their mouths and ears. They calmly go on then and listen for the sounds of another small creature scratching around below them.
