Description
Red fox are opportunistic feeders and spend a lot of time hunting for small rodents in the winter. They leap into the air and drive their front feet and noses into the snow trying to pin the mouse or vole to the ground which they had heard rustling around through the snow below. They will sometimes nearly disappear into soft snow jumping after their prey leaving only their thick luxurious tail above the snow.
